In this workshop, you will learn how to use Figma to work together effectively in a team. Over the past two years, Figma has become the industry standard for UI design, taking over the torch from Sketch (https://uxtools.co/survey-2021/#ui-design). One of its main strengths is its collaboration features: From being able to work together in the same file to creating components and design systems.
The workshop will be given by Tjapko Vermeulen and Floris Jansen, IDE allumni and currently working at Hike One. For the past year, Tjapko has been using Figma to maintain and improve a design system for Signify. Floris has been switching between organisations with smaller and larger design systems while improving them.
During this workshop, we will go beyond the basics of Figma and lay focus on utilising it when working together. We will touch upon features such as auto layout and deep dive into components. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to collaborate and design in Figma effectively.
Important! Ensure you have a Figma and a student account before the start of the workshop.
